  1. Can JDK help me plan my function or do they just provide the food?

    JDK event planners can help with all the details from tent rentals to hiring the entertainment. The advantage of choosing JDK is that our designers have catered thousands of events and can use this experience to make your event just right!

  2. What’s included in a standard JDK picnic?

    Prices quoted are based on food cost per person only. Please contact a JDK sales representative to receive a quote on professional labor and service charges. Your labor and service package are designed around your event specific needs to include professional staff for set up, guest services and tear down of your event as well as standard décor of food service stations, grill station and grill chef (if required), linens and all accompaniments necessary for buffet set-up and food display. 6% sales tax applies.

  3. What is the usual length of time for a standard JDK picnic?

    JDK picnics are scheduled for two hour duration not including set-up and breakdown of the event. If you require additional time additional labor charges will apply.

  4. What is the minimum guest count needed to book a picnic?

    JDK Catering is experienced at catering for 20 or 2,000 guests. Our pricing is estimated at a minimum count of 50 guests. Exceptions can be made but are subject to price changes. Contact a JDK associate to inquire about price breaks for large groups.

  1. Does JDK offer any choices in décor for picnics?

    JDK can provide a variety of décor choices including themes to make your picnic a one-of-a-kind event. Please ask your sales representative for more details and assistance in selecting the perfect look for your event.

  2. Can JDK provide a bar for our picnic?

    JDK can staff your picnic with a professional bartender who will use a variety of mixers and garnishes for your drinks. The client, however, must provide the alcohol for the event. JDK professional bartenders typically cost $30 per hour. Other labor and mixer charges may apply.

  3. Can JDK provide tent and amusement rentals for a picnic?

    JDK can definitely supply you with tent rentals of any size. We can also provide rental of SnoCone, Cotton Candy, and fresh Popcorn machines just to name a few. For even more fun, ask your sales representative for quotes for Pony Rides, Clowns, Spin Art and Sand Art. Theming is what we do best!

  4. How are we charged for a standard JDK picnic?

    All prices are subject to a 6% Sales Tax. There is NO gratuity charge added to your event total. Acceptable payment types include Cash or Check. A $200 nonrefundable deposit is required to hold your event date. Credit cards may be used for deposit only. JDK will invoice your organization within one week following your event.

  5. What is your cancellation policy?

    There is a lot of work that goes into planning an event, including scheduling service staff, ordering food supplies, packing and preparing the final details. Clients may cancel an event up to 7 days prior to the event at NO CHARGE (not including $200 non-refundable deposit). Cancellations made within 7 days of the event will be charged 35% of the total event contract. Other charges may apply. Clients are encouraged to plan ahead in the event of bad weather.
