Corporate Catering Policies & Terms

Placing an Event Order
Depending on demand, JDK experiences days and times that are overbooked and closed to any new events. We encourage you to call and reserve the date and time of your event as soon as possible.
Buffet Tables, Seating Tables and Chairs
As part of JDK’s standard Corporate Buffet, the client is responsible for providing buffet tables for the food, including a dirty dish table. In addition, client is responsible for all seating tables and chairs as well as linens for seating tables, if necessary. JDK can furnish buffet tables, seating tables and chairs, and seating linens for an additional charge. Please notify sales representative that these items are required at the time of order.
Staffing
As part of JDK’s standard Corporate Buffet, set up and break down of the event are included in the price per person. For corporate hot buffets with greater then 50 guests, JDK strongly recommends that the client request our professional servers to stay (for an additional $30 per hour per server) to refill the buffet stations, organize the return of dirty dishes, and ensure the event runs smoothly.
Price
All Prices are subject to a 6% Sales Tax and 20% Gratuity or Delivery Charge.
If your organization is Sales Tax exempt, you must provide JDK with a copy of the Exemption certificate to ensure accurate billing.
Delivery Charges
Depending on the event type, a delivery charge (within 10 miles) may apply, extra charges apply outside this delivery area.
Minimum Guarantees
All guaranteed counts are due no later then 2 business days prior to the event before 12 noon. The client is responsible for notifying JDK of the guaranteed count. If the client doesn’t confirm a guaranteed count, then the count provided at the time of event booking will be considered the guaranteed count for billing purposes. Decreases to your guest count will not be accepted after the 48 hour deadline. Additions to your guest count after the 48 hour deadline will be subject to a chef’s choice menu selection.
Cancellations
Clients may cancel an event by 9am - 48 hours prior to event at NO CHARGE. Cancellations made within 48 hours of event will be charged 35% of total event contract. Other charges may apply.
Clients are encouraged to plan ahead in the event of bad weather, such as snow and ice, where event cancellations happen more frequently.
Special Order Items
If a client has a guest with special needs, the JDK kitchen and bakery staff will attempt to accommodate their needs. Service charges may apply to any special order items. If a guest has severe allergies to certain and specific food ingredients, JDK reserves the right to not provide special service to this guest.
Payment Terms
JDK will invoice your organization within one week of your event. Acceptable payment types include: Cash, Check, or Net Due Upon Receipt.
Additional Charges
We kindly ask that our dishes and equipment remain in the meeting room. You will be charged $25 if we JDK personnel must come back to pick up missing items.
If JDK is asked to wait over 15 minutes for access into the meeting room to clean up the event or to come back later beyond the scheduled pick-up time, the client will be charged additional staff time. The minimum charge for changes in your scheduled pick-up time is $50, but this charge can increase significantly depending on the time of day, staff availability, etc. Please call your sales representative immediately if you forsee an issue with your pick-up time.
